Heating/Cooling
16 Yuille St has gas ducted central heating to all rooms and a split system air conditioner/heater for the kitchen and lounge.
For the gas, ducted central heating:
The control is in a holder on the wall in the kitchen. Just raise or lower the temperature to what you want. If the central heater doesn’t turn on, the power point might, above the washing machine on the back porch might have been turned off. Very occasionally the pilot light goes out. This can happen if someone turns the main gas tap off at the gas meter at at the front of the house.

Please try to turn off the central heating on checkout.

For the Split-System air-conditioning/heating:
The high ceilings and double brick keep the house quite cool in summer but you might like to turn the split system air conditioning/heating unit in the lounge and kitchen.

Toggle the top right button to power on. Raise or lower the temperature to what you want with the up and down TEMP button. Adjust the fan speed with the button on the right. The controller is set to Auto mode so you don't need to set it to cool, or heat mode. Open the flap on the controller for more options, if you need them.

Please try to turn off the heating upon checkout. The controller is battery operated so if you see the batteries going flat replace them with new ones in the top draw in the wooden cabinet in the kitchen next to the stove.

Cooling: The house does not have air-conditioning in the bedrooms; the high ceilings and double brick walls keep the house cool in summer. We supply large pedestal fans in each room.

Parking
You can park one car in the driveway in front of the large green gate. The driveway behind the gate can fit one big and one smaller car (shown in the picture is a car parked behind the gate), but it is narrow. During business hours parking on the street can be difficult, however after business hours the street empties. Parking in front of the houses has no restrictions, on the opposite side of the street follow the parking signs.
Kitchen
-
There is an Aldi Expressi capsule machine. You can buy an array of capsules from Aldi, $7 for 16 capsules. Make sure there is water in the tank at the back of the machine, turn the machine on, wait for the lights to stop flashing, make sure there isn’t a capsule in the machine by lifting the lever up. Push the lever back down and press the right most button to rinse the machine. Discard the water and place a new capsule in the machine and select the desired coffee size (large or small). Rinse after use as well by lifting the lever (the capsule should drop down), pushing the lever down again and pressing the rinse button.

In the fridge you will find some basic breakfast amenities. (milk, eggs, bread and butter). Other kitchen stables are also provided. (salt, oil, vinegar etc.)
